As heavily reported by other specialty chemical suppliers, the manufacturer of a key raw material used to produce semi-bright nickel processes is experiencing a supply problem. This problem is further compounded by a significant increase in global demand for this raw material.
The supply problem being experienced by one manufacturer of raw materials has understandably caused alarm for many applicators, as well as major automotive OEMs worldwide that use semi-bright nickel processes for a diversity of external and interior applications.
We assure you that a shortage does not and has never existed for Enthone valued customers.
Enthone has been proactively managing the supply chain since the raw material issue surfaced in September 2009. At that time, we also initiated a parallel campaign to identify alternative sourcing materials to ensure our customers continuous supply of high performance products. Both of these actions have proven highly successful.
Enthone has an adequate supply of produced materials to meet not only our current customers' requirements, but we welcome new accounts that may be concerned with obtaining semi-bright processes that meet industry demands and OEM specifications.
Enthone has been an industry leader and trusted supplier for semi-bright nickel processes for over eighty years to the surface finishing, automotive and building industries. This leadership was first established by providing our benchmark ELPELYT® nickel processes. Used by the world’s leading automotive OEMs for a diversity of applications, the processes provide an initial semi-bright, well leveled, and ductile deposit when duplex nickel plating.
Each technology is backed by local sales and technical support, applications engineers, as well as our global research and development team.
