ORMECON® Lacquers and Coatings

As Organic Metals are insoluble and unmoldable they have to be incorporated into conventional lacquer systems by using dispersion techniques. With ORMECON L series lacquers, the Organic Metal is finely dispersed to a particle size of about 70 nm. In contrast to our pure dispersions, ORMECON L series lacquers also contain binder resins, due to various practical requirements (adhesion to the substrate, application methods etc.). ORMECON lacquers are available in various resins (e.g. acrylics, polyamides, polyester), and can be supplied as solvent or water borne coatings.

Applications for these materials:

• ITO Replacement
• EMI Shielding
• ESD coatings
• Heating foils

Together with our partner Nissan Chemical Industries, Japan we developed more transparent, solvent-based coatings  which provide better application behavior than today's water borne coatings.
